Oh hey deviantArt, longtime no see, of a sort. For anyone who still follows me and reads this, this is actually really important. Just recently, a video got released from the Judge Rotenberg Center, a facility in Massachusetts that uses electric shock, long term restraint, food deprivation and other painful and intrusive forms of punishment on people with disabilities. The tape shows an eighteen year old Autistic man, Andre McCollins, being repeatedly electrically shocked while restrained on a four-point restraint board. (Obviously, trigger warning for torture; also, seizure warning for flickering in the video tape):

Even if you can't watch this, please post it everywhere you can. To Facebook, Tumblr, your own dA page, anywhere. Contact the Massachusetts state legislature, especially the House of Representatives, about it. And, if you're in the area, join Occupy the JRC on June 2nd at a rally at the facility itself to bring attention to the torture going on there. This has been going on for decades now, even after the United Nations has declared what this facility does to be torture and even after numerous state investigations have resulted in findings of abuse and neglect. Spread the word so that so-called "treatment" like this will stop happening sooner rather than later.
